Behind the Camera.
Who am I? My name is Deidre, Dee is shorter and sweeter. I love coffee (lots of coffee), spring blossoms, pickles, food (i am a huge foodie), Greys Anatomy, This Is Us, and Nicholas Sparks. Keeping my body healthy and fit has become a main priority in life. I love exploring new and exciting places. Photography became a part of my life in 2012, I started taking pictures of spring flowers and I slowly taught myself more and more. As I learned, I began taking pictures for friends. I quickly improved my skills and started DHL Photography. I began booking more frequent sessions. Then.... I graduated nursing school in 2015. Originally from the Philadelphia area, I worked at a community hospital in the medical ICU. I loved it. With my boyfriend living right outside of NYC, our distance apart took up a lot of my time. Time off from work became commuting time between Philly and NYC, and I simply started denying any potential clients who contacted me. August of 2016, I decided it was time to start applying to my dream job. The NICU. I obtained my NY state RN license and applied to one job in NYC. A week later I received a phone call, which turned into an interview, which turned into a job offer. I made the commitment, found a roommate, & found an apartment. I am currently a Hoboken resident where my long distance boyfriend also lives. Now that I am a local, I am ready to tackle my love for photography again. Why am I telling you all of this? Finding a photographer is like finding a friend. You want to feel comfortable with your photog so that you can express yourself truly in your photos. These will not only be with you for a lifetime but also for generations. Knowing my story helps you know me. When filling out a form for your session, you will be asked some questions so that I get to know you too! I look forward to making your memories part of my story!
